Management of Architectural Design and Documentation

Terrain Engineering Group provides management of architectural design services for all types of buildings and master planning. The architectural management services include design, documentation, contract administration and site inspection.

The nature of the business's activities places specific emphasis upon experience, expertise, ethics, reliability and quality.

Our management service stages are the following:

Stage 1 – Management of Existing Conditions / Concept Design include Management of the following:

  • On site measure of existing buildings, sheds, substantial trees and services
  • Preparation of existing conditions drawings
  • Client Meetings
  • Preparation of Client Brief
  • Checking local authority requirements
  • Preparation of initial design concepts of proposed alterations and additions to determine sitting and layout of rooms and architectural style

Stage 2 – Management Schematic Design / Town Planning includes the Management of the following

This stage will formalize the concepts established into accurately scaled drawings and finalise selection of primary construction materials and finishes. Other components of this stage include:

  • Consultation with Structural Engineers to discuss conceptual structural aspects of the design
  • Discussions and co-ordination with Town Planner and Local Authorities
  • Preparation of floor plan and roof plans including setback dimensions
  • Preparation of sections and elevations

Stage 3 – Management Design Development includes the management of the following:

The adopted design concept shall be further refined to produce preliminary working drawings. Consider detailed opinions for the structural systems, construction materials and the nature / extent of finishes. Preliminary specification schedules are prepared together with preliminary structural drawings by the engineer.

Stage 4 – Management of Working Drawings includes the management of the following:

Drawings prepared in this stage would include full details of floor plans, roof plans, elevations, and sections to show construction and finishes detail to give a thorough overview of the works.

The interior layouts and finishes are refined and colour boards produced. These internal plans, elevations and details shall form part of detail and Joinery documentation.
